Naming of Saga Freya
27 October 2017 the vessel Saga Freya was delivered from Oshima Shipbuilding Co Ltd to the Owner, Saga Shipholding (Norway) AS. She will now join the other 52 vessels in the Saga Welco pool. The vessel's godmother was Inger Lise Hagen Sandberg, who did a good job with both the naming and 'cutting the cord'.

Saga Freya is an open hatch, gantry-craned vessel of approx 200 meters length, and her maximum deadweight is 55,807 mt. She has got 10 box shaped holds with a total cubic capacity of 64,510 m³.
Technically Saga Freya will be managed by Anglo Eastern Ship Management.
